The 2006 top honors for Yuma's Best Insurance Agency goes to Yuma Insurance Inc.

"You've made my day!" said Jack Puckett, owner. "We've been second behind Howard Blitz I don't know how many times. I finally beat out Howard Blitz! He's a personal friend of mine, and he's a pretty good insurance agent, so that's a real honor.

"I just want to thank all The Sun's readers, all the people of Yuma and all our customers."

Puckett said putting the customer first may be a reason for the Yuma's Best votes. "We have a motto: 'Never let work get in the way of taking care of the customer.'"

When an agent is busy and a customer calls, the agent needs to take care of that customer right then, he said. "Never be too busy for a customer."

The agency offers a full range of insurance services. "We do all personal lines, commercial lines, life, health, annuities and financial planning," Puckett said.

"I'm very excited and very grateful. It's just a perfect community. I very much enjoy being a part of the Yuma community."
