Best Breakfast Burrito

You may not expect Yuma's Best breakfast burritos to come out of Stan's Grocery, but they do, according to The Sun's readers.

For the ninth year in a row, The Sun readers have given Stan's the top honor. Owner JoAnn Rodriguez says the reason they're the best is "the burritos are good and everything is made fresh every day."

Stan's has been serving up homestyle Mexican food since 1976. "We're one of a kind, but with all the competition, we're happy we won," said Rodriguez.

The entire staff of Stan's is composed of a husband-and-wife team in the kitchen and Rodriguez on the front lines, taking orders and serving customers. Between the three of them, Rodriguez estimates that Stan's serves about 250 burritos a day.

Stan's Grocery is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. You can stop in and eat at 1920 S. 1st Ave. or call 783-2526 to place your order and take your food to go.
