Best Place to Propose

Want to know where Yuma's Best Place to Propose to that special someone is? It's River City Grill, say The Sun's readers.

"That's fabulous," said co-owner Nan Bain. "It's a small neighborhood, romantic, urban chic kind of place. There have been several proposals.

"The guy usually brings in flowers, orders a bottle of wine. I tell the waiters, so they time the flowers and wine just right, and so they're sensitive about the couple's privacy."

Being voted Best Place to Propose makes sense to Bain. "It's a good atmosphere filled with art, low-lighting and beautiful things around you. It sets a beautiful mood. We have a very sweet private patio you can reserve."

Weddings have also been held at River City Grill. In fact, it's the favorite restaurant of a couple who were engaged and married there, Bain said.

The restaurant serves fresh, flavorful and naturally healthful international cuisine that includes seafood, beef, lamb, poultry and vegetarian selections.

"Thank you so much," Bain said. "It's nice to be recognized. I'm here for the locals, and I'm glad the locals have noticed."

River City Grill is located at 600 W. 3rd St. It's open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and for dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
