Hunt and Hossler is Yuma's Best Law Firm, according to The Sun's readers.

"We're proud," said attorney David Hossler. "Mr. (Jerry) Hunt and I and (former law partner Lawrence Kenworthy, who was recently elected Superior Court judge) have represented a lot of people, and most of them are happy with us. It's a nice honor. There are a lot of super lawyers in Yuma."

Both longtime Yumans, Hunt and Hossler "are proud to practice law in Yuma," Hossler said. They offer a full range of legal services, from wills, estates, corporate work or probate to business litigation and domestic relations.

He attributes the Yuma's Best title to clients who "perhaps read the paper" and "know us and realize we have a good staff, we do good work, and we try to treat people right."

He also credits his 32-year partnership with Hunt as a reason for the firm's success. "Jerry is one of the easiest guys in the world to get along with. That he's been able to put up with me so long is a miracle.

"You get a little crusty when you do litigation," Hossler said with a chuckle. "It's adversarial, there's pressure ... half the people are against you, and some of them aren't very friendly.

"I don't know of any partnership of any kind in Yuma that's lasted so long."
