Best Sunday Brunch

2006 marks the seventh time that Garden Cafe has been voted Yuma's Best Sunday Brunch.

"I'm excited that people recognize that we do have a very nice and good Sunday brunch because we work hard at making it the best," said Kathy Spencer, assistant manager.

Every Sunday, Garden Cafe serves both a typical and a special brunch in a unique outdoor setting. While the typical brunch is always the same, folks can check out the cafe's ads in The Sun to learn what the special brunch will be each week, she said. Breakfast items, fruits and pastries are some of the delights served at brunch.

Spencer attributes the seven-year Yuma's Best title to food quality in a unique setting. "We are special. We have high-end meats, high-end produce and high-end eggs. I think they (voters) can taste the difference."

Although very limited indoor seating is available, most patrons are served brunch by "friendly waitresses" in the cafe's "beautiful garden atmosphere with so many green plants, flowers and an aviary."

Located at 250 S. Madison Ave., Garden Cafe is open for breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. and for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday hours are from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The number is 783-1491.
