Some would say there's nothing like a hot cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast first thing in the morning. Nobody could agree with that more than Bobby Brooks, owner of Brownie's Restaurant.

For the first time, his restaurant has earned top honors in both the Breakfast and Chicken Fried Steak categories of Yuma's Best.

This is "a working man's restaurant - you leave with your stomach full and still have money in your pocket," said Brooks. "It's the old '50s style with countertops, and you see the same faces."

"I've been at it for 35 years and I wish I had another 35 years.

"I'm thankful that (The Sun readers) voted me No. 1. With all the competition ... I'm excited. It's wonderful."
